women give

WomenGive is a volunteer initiative founded by United Way of Larimer County in partnership with The Women's Foundation of Colorado (www.wfco.org). WomenGive assembles local leaders in an effort to tap into women's compassion, volunteerism and financial resources to bring change to issues that affect women and girls. The dedicated group of members will influence social change through support of community programs, legislative initiatives and philanthropic organizations.

WomenGive's partnership with The Women's Foundation of Colorado addresses the public policy issues related to self-sufficiency; United Way of Larimer County brings the leadership, resources and knowledge-base of the non-profit community to this important work; and our WomenGive pilot program, which provides funding for childcare and mentoring support for single mothers attending Front Range Community College, provides a tangible way to make a difference in the lives of local women struggling to achieve self-sufficiency.

Membership in the WomenGive philanthropy initiative is at a leadership giving level of $500 or more. To make the most impact in our community and lead the way in developing a new source of philanthropy, we ask that our WomenGive members give these dollars in addition to what they may already be giving to the United Way or The Women's Foundation of Colorado.

Bank of Choice is the 2007 WomenGive Mission Sponsor.
