2005 COMMUNITY CAMPAIGN
Larimer County, CO (March 30, 2006) United Way of Larimer County is projecting that the community donated approximately $4,400,000 for the 2005 annual campaign. This amount is nearly 10% more than in 2004. United Way of Larimer County would like to thank local residents for stepping up to help those in need here in Larimer County.
In addition to tracking the dollar amount raised by the community, United Way has started tracking the number of donors as well. United Way does not have a complete list of donors from many of the larger campaigns, however, we estimate the donor number will be approximately 10,000 for 2005. This is slightly lower than the 10,300 donors who contributed in 2004.
United Way is a vehicle for the community to support itself, to help county residents during their times of need. United Way is governed by a volunteer board of local community leaders and much of the day to day work is also carried out by local volunteers.
The majority of the dollars raised in the community come from employee campaigns at local businesses. The community campaign season runs from July 1st through mid February, with the bulk of the employee campaigns taking place from September through December. United Way is always looking for new campaigns at any time throughout the year. If your business would like to run a campaign, please contact United Way at 407-7000.
