Woodward enhances global quality of life and sustainability by optimizing energy use through improved efficiency and lower emissions.
Believing that Woodward does more than provide jobs in the communities in which we operate, the Colorado Community Outreach committee seeks to cultivate a spirit of volunteerism by encouraging members to be involved in their communities. Besides donating time and manpower, the Community Outreach Committee, through Woodward’s Charitable Trust allocations, is committed to making impactful monetary contributions to serve the needs of the Northern Colorado community.
Woodward does more than provide jobs in the communities in which we operate. We are deeply committed to supporting programs and organizations that ensure our communities are desirable places to live and work. We cultivate a spirit of volunteerism by encouraging members to be involved in their communities.
One of our most impactful event was when 34 of our volunteers helped home bound seniors by raking and bagging an estimated 300 bags of leaves from their yards -- at 21 Meals on Wheels clients homes!
The most rewarding part of volunteering is seeing the positive impact it has on people in the community. This was especially true of Woodward’s Fourth Annual Make a Difference Day. Woodward volunteers partnered with Loveland Meals on Wheels to help their homebound clients with their yard work. Many of their clients do not have anyone to help them with yard clean-up nor do they have the resources to pay for service.
Over 35 Woodward members, friends, and family members volunteered their time to help rake 21 different yards. The volunteers donated 175 hours and filled 300 bags with leaves. One of the clients was so touched she cried because she was so happy to have the help. The Woodward volunteers were extremely grateful for the opportunity to get involved and are looking forward to the next Make a Difference Day.
Woodward members participated in service projects across the community at places such as Habitat for Humanity and Loveland Meals on Wheels.
